Math isn’t up to interpretation. There is always going to be a right answer. There is a proper way to do a problem, and if you do it that way, it’s going to be right. English on the other hand, is always up to interpretation. What if the author didn’t want the rain or the colors he used to have a meaning? Fuck you English, I’m going to do my calc homework instead.

This reminds me of Freshman year Advanced English and my teacher telling me to “dig deeper” screw that. I got a C+ in that class and an A in math.

Funny thing is, I hate English and how something can be multiple shades of correct in it, but I consistently get As in it while I drag a B- in math every single year.  It’s mind boggling.  And I don’t even analyze writing very well if teacher’s notes are anything to go by.
